Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 Beta - Why you might want to take a look

Adobe has made available a "BETA" version of the next release of the Lightroom software.  There are some changes to some basic functions as well as some key additions to the product that will impact any/all Lightroom users (who choose to upgrade).  I will not attempt to list all of the various changes, but will mention something that you is different in the "Develop" module that will most likely also be a change to the next version of Adobe Photoshop Camera RAW.

The "Basic" adjustment sliders in the Develop module have been re-worked. Those familiar with the "Shadow Highlights" adjustments found in Photoshop will notice that the Basic slider choices now look a lot like what you know from Photoshop.  This means that there is a potential of significantly more capabilities to deal with difficult photos (i.e., recover shadow detail).
