I know what that the CTA is just trying to keep people vigilant with their new signs, but I do not think equating someone who is taking a photograph really compares to some noxious smell or unattended package. I would warn people to be on the lookout for over zealous CTA security personnel when shooting.

I've gotten in the habit of printing out the relevant policies (CTA, Park District, whatever) ahead of time, and keeping at least one copy in my camera bag. So if some over-zealous security guy tells you that you can't shoot on the platform, you can hand him a page that says, yes, in fact, you can.
